Have you scrolled through TikTok recently and come across some bizarre trends that made you wonder, “What on earth is going on?”

TikTok has taken the world by storm with its unique blend of short-form content and catchy challenges. Users are constantly coming up with new and unusual trends that keep viewers hooked and wanting more.

Whether it is creating funny lip-sync videos or attempting mind-boggling hacks, there’s no shortage of weird and wonderful content on TikTok. But, what about weird TikTok trends?

These are our picks for the most bizarre and weirdest TikTok trends ever:

1. Shaving Teeth

A bizarre TikTok trend involved people using nail files to shave their teeth. They did so in an attempt to fix uneven smiles, akin to a cheap version of enameloplasty.

This trend prompted outrage from the dental community, with experts like Dr. Chad Evans warning that it causes irreparable damage to teeth.

2. Breaking Skulls

The “rompecráneos” challenge, which originated in Venezuela, involves three people preparing to jump, with the two on the sides kicking the middle person’s feet as they leap, causing them to fall and often land on their heads or backs.

This dangerous trend led to numerous injuries in the U.S., resulting in charges of cyberbullying against two high school teens in Daytona Beach after a student’s injury. In response, the hashtag #stopskullbreakerchallenge emerged, and TikTok issued a statement advising users against participating in the challenge.

3. “She Was a Fairy!”

While it looks fun at first, it has actually raised some concerns. The “fairy flying” trend shows participants appearing to float in mid-air. However, health experts warn that these videos could be misinterpreted as related to suicide, similar to fake “suicide-by-hanging” imagery. With over 66 million views, participants often achieve this illusion by standing on dressers with Crocs dangling off their heels.

10. Dry Scooping Trend

Participants in a dangerous trend have been eating undiluted energy powder, leading to serious health risks.

Briatney Portillo, a 20-year-old stripper, and OnlyFans star suffered a heart attack from this practice. Initially, first responders misdiagnosed her condition as anxiety related to her profession, despite her saying that she was not anxious about dancing.
