What Is Dragon Ball?
Dragon Ball is a Japanese media franchise created by Akira Toriyama. It began as a manga series serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1984 to 1995, with the 519 individual chapters collected into 42 tankōbon volumes by its publisher Shueisha. The manga was adapted into an anime series aired in Japan from 1986 to 1996. Dragon Ball has since expanded into various other media formats, including video games, movies, and merchandise.
The story follows the adventures of Goku, a Saiyan warrior, as he trains in martial arts and searches for the Dragon Balls, which are mystical orbs that can grant wishes when gathered. Throughout the series, Goku and his friends face various powerful enemies and engage in epic battles. Dragon Ball is known for its intense and dynamic martial arts scenes, as well as its humorous and sometimes lighthearted tone.
Dragon Ball Daima Announcement
Toei Animation has officially collaborated with Akira Toriyama on the canon story for Dragon Ball Daima. The series revolves around Goku and his friends facing a peculiar wish that turns them into children. Additionally, Goku, alongside the Kaioshin, embarks on a journey to rectify the situation, and Dragon Ball Daima will depict the ensuing drama. Season one is expected to feature memorable quotes from Kid Vegeta.
Dragon Ball Daima is scheduled for a Fall 2024 debut, with no information on its streaming platform yet. However, in preparation for the premiere, Dragon Ball’s multiple seasons are available on Hulu, Funimation, and Crunchyroll. Moreover, the manga, Dragon Ball Super, is actively being produced under Toriyama’s supervision and is set to begin a new arc in February.
