The actress recently turned daytime talk show host, has recently faced a troubling situation. Drew Barrymore, who is famous for playing in classic movies such as “Charlie’s Angels”, “50 First Dates”, and “Scream”, is now undergoing a not-so-favorable incident.

During a recent interview, Barrymore remained professional even amid chaos and fans are applauding her for her demeanour. Here is the entire story of what happened.

The Drew Barrymore Stalker Incident

Drew Barrymore and Reneé Rapp abruptly left a New York City stage after a man disrupted their conversation by loudly proclaiming, “You know who I am” as seen in a viral video. Barrymore, a talk show host and actor, had been discussing Rapp’s latest album at the 92nd Street Y Cultural Center in Manhattan before they swiftly exited the stage following the interruption.

Drew Barrymore was interrupted by a man who loudly exclaimed, “Drew Barrymore!” Surprised, Barrymore responded, “Oh my God, yes? Hi!” The man, identified as Chad Michael Busto, claimed, “I’m Chad Michael Busto, you know who I am.” He expressed a desire to meet with Barrymore while he was in New York.

The Aftermath of the Stalker Incident

As the man approached the stage, security personnel moved in, while Reneé Rapp placed her arm around Drew Barrymore and led her backstage, as shown in a widely shared video on social media. Later, Barrymore and Rapp returned to the stage amidst applause from the audience.

Barrymore, impressed by Rapp’s protective gesture, humorously remarked, “Well, I have a new definition of your sexiness, it’s that level of protectiveness. That went full ‘Bodyguard.’” She playfully left her chair to hug Rapp and added, “You’re my Kevin Costner!” In response, Rapp, after laughing, said, “I’ll be that.” This reference alluded to Kevin Costner’s role as a bodyguard in the 1992 film “The Bodyguard,” where he protected Whitney Houston’s character from a stalker.

This entire Drew Barrymore and stalker situation is a reminder that parasocial relationships can lead to an extreme. It is definitely scary to go through a situation like this, but it is heartwarming to know that there are people who will always have your back.
