A leaked, unreleased song by singer D4vd (David Anthony Burke) is under scrutiny after it was revealed to mention a girl named “Celeste”, the same name as the 15-year-old, Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose body was discovered inside a Tesla registered to D4vd.
D4vd and His Lyrics
In the song, reportedly recorded in December 2023, the lyrics include:
“Oh, Celeste / The girl with my name tattooed on her chest / Smell her on my clothes like cigarettes … I hear her voice each time I take a breath / I’m obsessed.”
Additional lyrics in another verse are said to say:
“Afraid you’ll only love me when undressed / But you look so damn gorgeous in that dress / Missing you so much makes me depressed / But I digress.”
These references are fueling online speculation about whether the song has any relation to Rivas’s disappearance or death.
What Authorities Have Discovered & Investigated
- Celeste Rivas, 15, was reported missing from Lake Elsinore, California, in April 2024.
- On September 8, 2025, her body was discovered in the front trunk (frunk) of a Tesla registered to D4vd. The body was in an advanced state of decomposition.
- The registered owner D4vd is reportedly cooperating with law enforcement. A home in Hollywood Hills, where he had been staying, was raided under a search warrant; police seized a computer and other items for investigation.
- Matching tattoos have been noted: Rivas had a right index finger tattoo reading “Shhh…”, and D4vd reportedly has the same tattoo.
Reactions & Fallout
- Kali Uchis, who collaborates with D4vd on the song “Crashing”, has announced she is having the collaboration removed from streaming platforms in light of the revelations.
- The public and fans are raising concerns over whether the leaked demo song “Celeste” reflects any real relationship or events tied to Rivas. Many are disturbed by the intimate tone of lyrics, especially given the overlap in name, rumors of a relationship, and matching tattoos. Still, no charges have been filed, and there is no confirmed legal determination tying the lyrics specifically to Rivas or her death.

What Is Still Unknown
- Investigators have not confirmed if the “Celeste” in the song refers to Celeste Rivas.
- It’s not clear when exactly the song was recorded, whether it was released before, or how broadly it has been distributed.
- The timeline of any relationship between Rivas and someone named David (whom family members have mentioned) is still under investigation.
- No suspect has been publicly named; it remains unclear what role, if any, D4vd might have played (if any) in her disappearance or death. The cause of death is still pending.
