Photos surfacing this week are fueling speculation about a possible romance between Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
The two were spotted passionately kissing and cuddling aboard Perry’s yacht, the Caravelle, off the coast of Santa Barbara, California.
A Yachting Getaway That Didn’t Stay Private
The images were reportedly captured on September 29, when the duo boarded the yacht in the Santa Barbara Channel. One eyewitness said they maneuvered their yacht next to a whale-watching tour before the steamy display began.
In the snaps, Perry is wearing a black swimsuit, embracing Trudeau, who is shirtless and dressed in jeans. At one point, Trudeau is seen holding her from behind.
Fans online noticed something else: many expressed bewilderment at Trudeau wearing jeans on a yacht — a fashion choice that stood out amid the coastal setting.
A Connection That’s Been Building Between Katy Perry and Trudeau
This isn’t the first time their names have popped up in the same context. Back in July, rumors emerged after they were seen dining together in Montreal. Perry was on her Lifetimes tour, and soon after, Trudeau reportedly attended her concert.

That said, neither Perry nor Trudeau has made any public confirmation about being together. Representatives from both have declined to comment.
What This Could Mean — and What It Might Not
- Old meets new: Trudeau, once a major political figure, and Perry, an international pop icon — their pairing would be unexpected but intriguing.
- Speculation vs. stated truth: Until one of them speaks up, this could be a fleeting moment rather than a romance in the works.
- Privacy lines: Each has had a high-profile life; how they choose to handle public scrutiny could reveal much.
- Narrative control: With rumors swirling, being clear (or not) may be a strategic decision as much as a personal one.
