As part of the ongoing release of documents under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, the U.S. Department of Justice has disclosed 1,006 Amazon purchase receipts associated with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein between 2014 and 2019. The receipts come from a broader trove of material — including photos, receipts, and investigative records — that federal authorities are publishing amid legal and political scrutiny.
New Details From Publicly Released Epstein Files
These shopping records provide a rare, granular look at Epstein’s private purchases, which range from everyday household items to deeply troubling orders that experts say align with aspects of his criminal behaviour and predatory mindset.
Epstein Purchased Disturbing Items Among Receipts
The receipts show Epstein bought a wide variety of products over several years, delivered to his Manhattan townhouse, his Palm Beach estate, and his private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Among the most unsettling purchases:
- Schoolgirl uniforms: Four regulation-style outfits — including dresses, pleated skirts, and shorts — shipped to his Upper East Side home in 2018, a year before his arrest. These items bear an unmistakable connection to the age ranges of many of his reported victims.
- Sexual wellness products: Purchases included a Sonic prostate massager marketed for “home use” and vaginal-tightening supplements that claim to enhance lubrication and firmness. Psychological experts and reporters suggest these products may reflect unhealthy dynamics of control and objectification.
- Costumes and symbols of authority: Multiple costumes and themed outfits were ordered, including an FBI costume, prisoner outfit, and military-style pants, pointing toward role-play interests tied to dominance or imagined power dynamics.
- Surveillance gear: Epstein ordered at least nine pairs of binoculars over the period, some high-powered or marketed for tactical use — equipment that suggests a possible interest in observation or monitoring.
- Miscellaneous items: Baby clothes, toddler toys, and an assortment of candy and snack foods also appear on the list, underscoring the broad range of purchases that nonetheless raise troubling questions given the context of his known criminal activities.

Experts quoted in coverage of the receipts describe them as part of a “map of power” or as psychologically revealing patterns that reflect coercion, dominance, and an established predatory fixation rather than normal consumer behaviour.
What It Means Historically
While purchase receipts alone do not constitute legal proof of criminal acts beyond the charges Epstein faced, they contribute new public record detail about his interests, behaviour, and daily logistics before his 2019 arrest on federal sex-trafficking charges. The records complement other released files — including photos with public figures and investigative notes — that have drawn scrutiny, speculation, and advocacy for fuller transparency.
Federal authorities continue to process and redact documents, with the DOJ recently acknowledging there may be more than a million additional files yet to be reviewed for release, meaning further revelations may still emerge.
