Amazon to Stream Donald Trump’s Reality TV Show

Amazon announced that it will begin streaming President Trump’s reality TV show The Apprentice on Prime Video. Seasons one through seven of the Emmy Award-nominated series will be available to stream.

The seasons of The Apprentice will be released weekly, with season one available starting Monday, March 10. The show quickly became a hit after its January 2004 premiere, attracting an average of 20 million viewers per week, and 28 million viewers for the season one finale.

What Did the Producers Have to Say?

Producer Mark Burnett, known for producing The Voice, Survivor, and Shark Tank, praised Trump’s reality TV shows, calling them among the best he has ever produced.

Mark Burnett credited President Donald Trump’s charismatic onscreen presence for making The Apprentice a hit. He added that, with Prime Video, a new audience will be able to enjoy a new season every Monday.

Trump stated that he looks forward to rewatching The Apprentice, reflecting on the great memories and fun, while emphasizing that it was a valuable learning experience for everyone involved.

What Is the Apprentice About?

The Apprentice was a reality TV show where 16 contestants competed in various business-related challenges for a chance to win a $250,000 salary as an apprentice at The Trump Organization. Each week, contestants were eliminated by Donald Trump, who famously delivered the catchphrase “You’re fired!” The show showcased Trump’s business acumen, with contestants vying for the opportunity to work with him on various high-profile projects.

The Apprentice propelled Trump to fame, transitioning him from his real estate background to a TV personality.

Trump hosted 14 of the 15 seasons of The Apprentice, which helped propel him to fame and eventually run for president. As the show’s executive producer, he is likely to benefit from its streaming on Prime Video, according to CNN.

Where Is This All Coming From?

The announcement comes as Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has grown closer to Trump in recent months.

In January 2025, Amazon MGM Studios announced a $40 million deal to license a documentary on Melania Trump, directed by Brett Ratner. Melania Trump is also serving as an executive producer, with filming having commenced in December 2024. Jeff Bezos played a pivotal role in securing this project for Amazon.

Additionally, Bezos and Trump dined together in February 2025, coinciding with changes at The Washington Post, which Bezos owns. These changes included a shift in editorial direction to focus on “personal liberties and free markets,” suppressing divergent opinions.
