Love is in the air for AOA Yuna! The beloved K-pop star has officially announced her marriage, leaving fans in awe. After finishing up an iconic career as an AOA member. AOA’s Yuna has officially confirmed her marriage to composer Kang Jung Hoon. He is known as Friday of the music production duo GALACTIKA. The couple is set to tie the knot in February in a private ceremony, with only close friends and family in attendance. Kang Jung Hoon is recognized for composing hits like ITZY’s “DALLA DALLA,” SISTAR19’s “Ma Boy,” and ZE:A’s “Aftermath.”

Yuna, from AOA, posted two lovely photos from her wedding shoot along with a heartfelt message. The message read:

“Hello, this is Yuna.

First, to everyone who already saw the news, I wanted to convey the news with sincerity, so I wound up being a bit late.

I have found someone with whom I’d like to spend the rest of my life.

This approaching February, we plan to hold a wedding with just our close friends and family. He is a warm person who has always influenced me positively from by my side, and even during moments when I struggled and fell down, he always made it possible for me to get back up by unchangingly filling the empty spaces.

Thank you for cheering me on with all of your heart during all my moments after my debut.

Because I know how great the love is that you have given me, I will always remain in the same place as a Yuna who knows how to share that love and be generous.

Who Is AOA?

AOA, short for Ace of Angels, is a South Korean girl group initially formed by FNC Entertainment in 2012. It had an original eight-member lineup. The members included Choa, Jimin, Yuna, Youkyung, Hyejeong, Mina, Seolhyun, and Dohwa. Over the years, there were departures, including Youkyung in 2016, Choa in 2017 due to mental health reasons, Mina in 2019 for acting pursuits, Jimin in 2020 amid bullying allegations, and Yuna in 2021. Currently, the group consists of Seolhyun, Hyejeong, and Dohwa.

AOA began their career as both a dance group and a band, debuting officially in July 2012 with the single album “Angel’s Story.” They achieved nationwide success in 2014 with hit songs like “Heart Attack,” which dominated various charts and remained one of the longest-charting singles on Melon’s Top 100 chart.

Yuna’s Career as an AOA Member

Yuna made her debut as a member of AOA on August 9, 2012, with the group’s first single album, “Angels’ Story.” AOA, including Yuna, has released three EPs and nine singles. Yuna was part of AOA’s subunit “AOA Black” and “AOA Cream” with Shin Hye-jeong and Kim Chanmi as well. Yuna’s contract with FNC Entertainment expired on January 1, 2021, and she subsequently left the company.

Acting Career

Yuna has ventured into acting with notable roles, including lead roles in the Japanese musical “Summer Snow” (2013) and the Korean web drama “Prince’s Prince” (2015). She contributed to the OST for KBS’s TV series “Marry Him If You Dare” with the song “I’m OK” in October 2013. Yuna also participated in various web dramas, such as “Hot and Sweet” (2016), where she played Joon Young, and “My Old Friend” (2016).

In 2017, she joined the cast of the romantic comedy series “Single Wife” and sang the theme song “Another You” for the drama “My Only Love Song.” Yuna continued her involvement in OSTs, contributing to tvN’s “A Korean Odyssey” with Shin Ji-min in 2018 with the song “If You Were Me.”

Her acting career further expanded in 2019, participating in Lifetime’s reality program “AOA DaSaDanang Heart Attack Danang” and being cast in the web drama “Love Formula 11M” as So-jin in July 2019.

Where Is AOA Yuna Now?

In December 2019, FNC Entertainment confirmed that Yuna, under the pseudonym E.NA, provided backing vocals for Shin Yu-na’s parts in Itzy’s debut single “Dalla Dalla.” She also contributed to Twice’s single “Heart Shaker” and served as the backing singer for Cosmic Girls’ single “Butterfly.” Following her departure from AOA, Yuna shared on social media that she had transitioned into a yoga instructor and embarked on a new life outside the entertainment industry.
