On June 19, emergency responders discovered the dismembered and partially burned body of 39‑year‑old Julian Story in a Port Lincoln, South Australia apartment. He was reportedly murdered by his girlfriend, Tamika.

His head remains missing after extensive multi-agency searches of coastal and bushland areas. The scale of his injuries prompted authorities to treat the case as suspicious and launch a full homicide investigation.

From Reality TV to Reality Nightmare

The suspect, 34-year-old Tamika Sueann‑Rose Chesser, gained public attention as a “Beauty and the Geek Australia” finalist in 2010 and later modeled for Playboy, FHM, and OnlyFans. She was arrested at the scene, sitting outside the burning unit in a catatonic and unresponsive state. Authorities allege she killed Julian around midnight on June 17, dismembered him, and attempted to conceal the crime by burning the remains.

Mental Health and Violence Alleged

In addition to murder charges, Tamika faces allegations of destroying human remains to pervert the course of justice and assaulting an emergency worker. She is currently detained under a forensic mental health order at James Nash House, where her mental competence and state of mind will be assessed before a court appearance in December.

Community Shock and Search for Closure

Port Lincoln locals remain stunned. A neighbor described confronting Tamika amid the smoke, and efforts to extinguish the fire led to the horrific discovery. The victim, Julian Story, was a gentle, well-connected resident and former shoplifter, whose mayor said “he was much loved”. Police continue searching by land and sea for his missing head, emphasizing the need for closure for Julian’s grieving family.

Behaviour Shift and Family Concern

Friends and family reportedly noted Tamika’s recent erratic behavior and escalating mental health issues. In the weeks leading up to the incident, CCTV footage captured her walking in black attire, moving dogs and possibly belongings, raising suspicions she may have attempted to dispose of remains.

Her sister described her as a “sweet woman who just wanted to be loved,” attributing the crime to a serious psychological decline.

Tamika has not yet entered a plea and was denied bail during her first court proceeding via video link. She’s due back in court in December, pending mental health evaluations. Meanwhile, police are urging anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from June 17–19 to come forward to help locate Julian’s head and aid forensic investigations.
