Britney Spear can’t seem to catch a break! The starlet is currently working on her memoir “The Woman in Me”, and people are more than excited to hear Britney’s entire story. While it is not finished yet, the initial excerpts from the memoir have been released. They reveal her claims of enduring cruelty during her unique conservatorship from 2008 to 2021. Although that was expected, Britney also released a daring statement. Allegedly, Britney Spears had an abortion while dating Justin Timberlake, and it was not one that both agreed on.

What The Memoir Says About Britney Spear Having an Abortion While Dating Justin Timberlake

In the excerpts published by People magazine in the United States before the book’s release on October 24th, Britney Spears discusses her abortion. The singer said:

“For me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated. But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young … I don’t know if that was the right decision. If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father.”

How Justin Timberlake Reacted

According to a source, Justin Timberlake is currently prioritizing his family life with his wife, Jessica Biel and their children. He is also concentrating on his work, including an NSYNC reunion and an upcoming film project, as well as creating new music. The source describes him as being content and in a positive place in his life.

The source, offered to US Weekly, clarified: “Justin will always be supportive of Britney and all of her endeavors, but he’s trying to distance himself from her upcoming book. It’s not something he’s focusing too much on in terms of anything she might discuss when it comes to their former relationship. Justin and Britney dated so long ago, and he has a whole different life now. He’s focused on his family, his career, and moving forward, and he would like to leave anything that happened in the past behind them.”

Britney’s Conservatorship Issue

In her memoir, Britney Spears reflects on her 13-year-long conservatorship, describing it as a dehumanizing experience where she felt like a shadow of herself. She expresses how her father and his associates had control over her body and finances, making her feel like a robot and an infantilized version of herself. She was forced to be wild on stage while being a robot in her personal life. Her father, Jamie Spears, had previously defended the conservatorship, citing concerns for her well-being and her children’s welfare. In her memoir, Britney repeats some allegations made during court hearings, including being forced to use birth control and take medications against her will. She also addresses her father’s criticism of her weight and how it made her feel perpetually inadequate as a child. The conservatorship was eventually dissolved in November 2021, and Jamie Spears was suspended from it prior to that.
