No Charges for Cardi B – Aftermath of Microphone Incident

On July 29th, during Cardi’s performance at Drai’s Beachclub, took a drastic turn. The rapper was faced with an incident where she had to react to an audience member who threw a drink at her. Her reaction? She threw a microphone right back at them.

Cardi B, who is known for her chart-topping music such as “WAP” and “Bodak Yellow”, and her vibrant personality that has captivated audiences worldwide, is experiencing a rather peculiar outcome from the incident.

The Police Give an Answer

Following the latest incident, the Las Vegas Police have decided to discontinue the criminal battery investigation. The Las Vegas Metro Police Department has already confirmed the closure of the case as they claim that there is insufficient evidence.

The Police Department and the Clark County District Attorney’s Office said that after assessing the matter comprehensively, they had determined that there is inadequate evidence to proceed with charges in connection to this case.

The Victim Had Filed for Battery Report

Although most fans agreed with Cardi’s decision, people also commented that the singer took it too far. That’s at least what the victim assumes as well. They immediately filed a battery report against the rapper.

However, at the moment, it’s unclear whether the person that was hit by the microphone was the same one who threw the drink at Cardi B.

As reported by the Las Vegas police department, the lawsuit stated that the victim attended the event at Las Vegas Boulevard. While the concert was being held, the victim was hit by a heavy object which was thrown from the stage.

The victim, however, was the first one to throw her drink at the rapper. After the collision, the victim was then escorted out of the event and Cardi B continued with her performance.

To share her side of the story, Cardi B also shared clear video footage of the occurrence.

The Other Side of the Story

TMZ published a video where Cardi B and her DJ can be heard asking their fans to throw water on stage as the temperature was too high during the performance. The person who threw the drink can also be heard apologizing in multiple fan videos as well.

However, whether the victim threw water, or another substance is unclear. It’s uncertain why Cardi was upset with them.
