Celine Dion Health Update – Sister Says Superstar Is Struggling

Claudette Dion has come forward to give information on her sister, Celine Dion’s health. The singer had been previously diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disease.

Claudette has explained that although there are limited sources, the entire family is doing their best to find a solution for Celine. She further clarified that they’re contacting professionals in the field to know more about her sister’s condition.

What Celine Dion’s Sister Had to Say

Claudette Dion had contacted Le Journal de Montreal, to clarify her sister’s current condition. She mentioned that Celine is a very hardworking person which makes it harder for her to cope with the condition mentally as well.

The National Institutes of Health describes the Stiff Person Syndrome as a rare neurological condition that causes muscles to stiffen in the limbs and torso. The condition affects only one in a million people in the world.

Claudette further clarified that Linda (their other sister) is taking great care of the singer and they are regularly in contact especially when Celine is busy. She explained that Celine is very hardworking but under her condition, she has turned into someone who is overworked.

The sister mentioned that the most important thing for Celine Dion at the moment is to get some rest which could be quite hard for the stern superstar. She told Le Journal de Montreal: “At one point, your heart and your body are trying to tell you something. It’s important to listen to it.”

Fans React to Celine Dion Cancelling Tour

After Celine Dion was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, the singer was asked to cancel her Courage World Tour. She was urged by Claudette and the family to do so as it was necessary to rehabilitate.

Fans of Celine Dion were very supportive after the singer publicly announced that she had to cancel her Courage World Tour due to health issues. She had previously postponed shows after revealing her diagnosis in December 2022. Celine shared the cancellation news on Instagram with sadness, explaining that she’s working hard to regain her strength but touring is challenging even when feeling well.

She didn’t want to keep postponing shows, so she decided to cancel the tour until she was fully ready to perform again. Celine expressed her determination to return and thanked her fans. The canceled tour dates included various European countries which she mentioned in a Instagram post. Fans consistently emphasized her health should come first and showed their love and support.

Celine Dion had been struggling with the mysterious illness ever since December of 2022 and has been trying to stay up to date with her schedule which included movies, soundtracks, and even the well-anticipated world tour. However, her sister urged her to cancel the remaining tour dates as her health has been getting worse and she needed some rest.
