They mentioned their commitment to co-parenting their two daughters and requested privacy and respect during this transition. The duo posted on their Instagram and claimed:

“After a period of separation, the two of us have arrived at the decision to part ways. We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. God has blessed us with two beautiful daughters who we will continue to raise together. We kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate this transition.”

The couple, who tied the knot in 2019, have two daughters named Kensli, 7, and Marli, 4. Chance the Rapper, born Chancelor Bennett, shared a tweet in March 2019 recounting how they met at an office party in 2003 when he was nine years old, attended with his family.

At the office party in 2003, Chance the Rapper encountered his future wife when she, along with two other young girls, performed a Destiny’s Child song. He described locking eyes with her as she sang, dubbing her “the prettiest girl” he had ever seen at that point in his life.
