The Final Days of Millena Brandão

Millena had been experiencing severe health issues leading up to her untimely death. On April 24, she began feeling unwell, with symptoms including headaches, pain in her leg, drowsiness, loss of appetite, and fainting. Her family rushed her to several medical centers, where initial diagnoses suspected dengue fever. However, doctors did not conduct extensive tests.

On April 26, Millena had to leave a modeling event due to intense leg pain. Despite further visits to the hospital, including one where she fainted in a bathroom, doctors could not identify the cause of her symptoms. She was eventually diagnosed with a urinary tract infection and prescribed medication.

A Devastating Turn

On April 29, Millena’s condition worsened. She experienced her first cardiac arrest, and doctors at Granjaú General Hospital intubated her to save her life. Unfortunately, she never regained consciousness. Her mother, Thays, expressed concerns over the hospital’s lack of proper equipment and specialists, claiming that a neurologist was unavailable at the time.

Doctors identified a 5-centimeter mass in Millena’s brain through a CT scan, but they were unable to determine its nature. Her condition deteriorated rapidly, with multiple cardiac and respiratory arrests, despite efforts to resuscitate her. Millena’s official cause of death remains unknown.

A Family’s Heartbreak

Millena’s mother shared an emotional message on Instagram, expressing the deep pain of losing her daughter. “You were the light in our lives,” she wrote. “I know that from up there, you’ll continue to watch over us and light up our lives.”

Millena is survived by her parents and her two-year-old sister. Her death has left a void in the hearts of many, and her family, friends, and fans continue to mourn the loss of this talented young star.
