In 1992, Clapton soared with the Rush soundtrack and the Grammy-winning hit Tears in Heaven. That same year, his MTV Unplugged album topped charts for three weeks, selling 15 million copies worldwide and earning him six Grammys. In 1994, he returned to his blues roots with the double-platinum From the Cradle, a tribute to the music that had always been his source of inspiration.
