Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter received the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award, becoming only the second recipient of this prestigious honor. The 24-time GRAMMY winner and 88-time nominee was introduced by host Trevor Noah. Onstage with his daughter Blue Ivy, Jay-Z humorously remarked that his recent GRAMMY would no longer function as a “gold sippy cup” as it did in 2014.
