In late 2022, after finishing Season 8 of “Black-ish,” Jenifer Lewis was traveling with friends when the accident occurred in Africa. Despite the ordeal, she had been optimistic about her travels before the incident.

During the first day of her dream vacation in Africa, Jenifer Lewis encountered a freak accident on her hotel deck while admiring the scenery in darkness. She fell ten feet into a dry ravine filled with sharp rocks and boulders due to an unmarked section without any warning signs.
