British pop star Jessie J has revealed that she has been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer. The 37-year-old singer shared the news in a candid Instagram video on June 3, 2025, expressing her decision to be open about her health journey with her fans.

A Personal Revelation

In her Instagram video, Jessie J disclosed that she received her diagnosis before the release of her song “No Secrets” in April. She emphasized the importance of early detection, stating, “I’m highlighting the word early. Cancer sucks in any form, but I’m holding on to the word early.” The singer mentioned that she had been undergoing various tests during this period.

Jessie J explained her choice to share the diagnosis publicly: “I want to share it with my fans and the people that care about me, and also I’m a sharer. I’ve always shared everything that I go through in my life.” She acknowledged that discussing the diagnosis was challenging but believed in the power of openness and community support.

Upcoming Surgery and Temporary Hiatus

The singer announced plans to step back from the public eye following her performance at Capital’s Summertime Ball on June 15. She humorously remarked about her upcoming surgery. Despite the levity, she acknowledged the emotional weight of her diagnosis.

In her Instagram caption, Jessie J wrote: “

No (more) Secrets and is it too soon to do a remix called ‘Living my breast life’? 🥴

All jokes aside (You know it’s one of the ways I get through hard times) This last 2 months have been so amazing, and having this go on along side it on the sideline’s has given me the most incredible perspective. BUT… Your girl needs a hug. 🫂🫀🔋

Also not getting massive tits. Or am I? No no… I must stop joking.”
