TripleS is recognized as the world’s first decentralized K-pop idol group, known as “The idol of all possibilities.” The group operates with a unique structure where members rotate between the full group, sub-units, and solo activities. The group’s concept revolves around “high-teen,” characterized by a fashionable and chic style that resonates with teenage girls. Recently, they’ve been described as “fresh teens” by BEP, signaling a friendlier and more relatable interpretation of the high-teen concept. K-Pop, celebrated for its lively and entertaining themes, has seen a rise in popularity for the “high teen” concept. Originating from Korea, the term blends “high school” and “teenager,” drawing inspiration from Western productions like the movie Clueless. IVE is a six-member South Korean K-pop girl group managed by Starship Entertainment. The members include An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, and Leeseo. The group made their official debut on December 1, 2021, with a single album titled “Eleven.” IVE is derived from “I HAVE,” symbolizing the members’ confidence in showcasing their skills to the public. The name ITZY conveys the meaning of “You have everything we want, right? Of course” in Korean, where “itji” means “to have.” The name incorporates English letters, with ‘it’ referring to a specific object, and emphasizes the idea of possessing all the expected charms of a girl group. Their main concept is “Teen Crush”. It is a teenage version of “Girl Crush”, distinct for its target audience of teenagers. Similar to Girl Crush, “Teen Crush” features a hard-hitting sound, but with a more youthful tone. ITZY, especially during their DALLA DALLA, ICY, and WANNABE era, is an example of a group that embraces the teen crush concept.

Aespa, stylized as æspa, is a four-member South Korean K-pop girl group that debuted under SM Entertainment. The group, composed of Karina, Giselle, Winter, and NingNing, made their debut on November 17, 2020, with the digital single “Black Mamba.” The name aespa is a fusion of ‘æ’ from ‘Avatar X Experience’ and ‘aspect.’ It signifies a concept focused on innovative activities, exploring the theme of experiencing a new world through the encounter with an ‘avatar,’ representing one’s other self.

The group made their official debut on May 2, 2022, with the release of their first mini album titled “FEARLESS.” The group’s name, LE SSERAFIM, is an anagram of “I’m Fearless,” conveying a message of self-confidence and a strong determination to move forward without being influenced by external opinions or scrutiny.

New hair, new tee, NewJeans! NewJeans is a five-member girl group under ADOR and HYBE Labels. The group includes members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein. They made their debut with the single “Attention” on July 22, 2022, and subsequently released their debut extended play, “New Jeans,” on August 1, 2022.
