Remember the news surrounding Kim and how she is planning on becoming a lawyer? Well, she finally made it to court! But, probably not the way she intended to in the beginning. Recently, the fashion mogul has been tied up in something other than those Balenciaga bondage dresses. Kim served as a juror at the Van Nuys Courthouse for four days, from Monday to Thursday. She was part of a jury panel in a case involving two men charged with murdering another man in a gang-related crime. Kim Kardashian serving jury duty on a murder case was definitely not on my checklist this year!

The News Of Kim Kardashian Serving Jury Duty on Murder Case

Kim Kardashian, the well-known 42-year-old reality star, recently demonstrated her commitment to civic duty. She did so by reporting for jury duty at the Van Nuys Courthouse in California. According to a report from TMZ on Thursday, Kardashian was listed as a potential juror in a murder case linked to gang violence.

In this specific case, two individuals faced charges related to a gang-related murder. Kardashian participated in a jury pool session where both prosecution and defense attorneys posed questions to potential jurors. However, she herself was not directly questioned. Throughout the proceedings, a bodyguard accompanied her, ensuring her safety.

What Happened Inside the Courtroom?

Kardashian took the opportunity to engage with fellow jurors and was spotted enjoying some snacks during breaks in the proceedings. On Thursday, she made a fashionable appearance, donning a sleeveless white blouse paired with leather pants and high boots.

Once the court adjourned on Thursday, Kardashian was excused from her jury duty as an agreement was reached on selecting 12 jury members and four alternate members. Notably, Kardashian had members of her Hulu crew on hand to document the experience, and she was observed leaving the courthouse in an SUV.

How Did Eyewitnesses React?

Kim Kardashian served as a potential juror, and according to witnesses, her fellow prospective jurors weren’t particularly starstruck by her, despite her massive Instagram following and recent acting endeavors on “American Horror Story: Delicate.” Kim has been passionately pursuing a career in criminal justice and law for the past few years, following in the footsteps of her late father, Robert Kardashian, who was part of O.J. Simpson’s legal defense team during his murder trial.

In December 2021, after three attempts, she successfully passed the challenging Baby Bar exam, a significant achievement that she commemorated with an Instagram post honoring her late parent. She had previously noted: “We talked about it for sure when I was in college, but I wasn’t that serious. Hopefully one day I can start a law firm where we can help people pro bono and hire people who were formerly incarcerated. I don’t see myself floating on a yacht. I think I’ll always feel good when I’m working.”
