A Pennsylvania man accused of beheading his father and posting a disturbing video on YouTube told a court he believed his father was trying to stop him from becoming a politician like Donald Trump.
Justin Mohn Charged in Shocking January Killing

Justin Mohn, 33, is facing murder and other charges in connection with the January 30, 2024, killing of his father, Michael Mohn, in Levittown.
“I was hoping to perform a citizen’s arrest on my father for treason,” Mohn said during a court hearing near Philadelphia, according to the Associated Press.
Political Motive Behind Brutal Act
Mohn, who described his parents as left-leaning, claimed the killing was part of a political message. He said he wanted federal employees to resign and demanded the cancellation of public debt.
He told the court he shot his father in the bathroom after announcing the arrest and his father, a trained martial artist, threatened to kill him and reached for the gun.
“Unfortunately, he resisted,” Mohn said.
Mother Breaks Down in Court

His mother, Denice Mohn, wept in court during his testimony.
Authorities say Mohn later posted a video holding his father’s severed head and called for violence against government officials. He was arrested hours after the incident and charged with first-degree murder, abuse of a corpse, and weapons offenses.
Prosecutors said Mohn also traveled to a National Guard training camp after the killing, hoping to rally troops against the federal government.
