The attack continued across the lobby—where a woman and a security guard were shot—and then escalated upstairs. On the 33rd floor, he killed another person in a hallway before ending his own life. A fifth person remains hospitalized in critical condition; several others suffered minor injuries while escaping.

Authorities swiftly secured the area, locking down the 44-story building and calling in FBI assistance.
