An Ohio woman has been sentenced to a minimum of 19 years in prison after a deeply disturbing case of child abuse shocked both the courtroom and the community.

Angelina Williams, 28, pleaded guilty to kidnapping, child endangerment, obstruction of justice, and other charges related to an incident in which she allowed a pit bull to viciously attack her six-year-old son.

The Brutal Pit Bull Attack

The attack occurred in May 2024 during a family visit at a Savannah home. Prosecutors revealed that Williams had handcuffed her young son’s hands and ankles as punishment for not cleaning up after the dog. Not only was the boy restrained, but he was also tied to a chair while the pit bull launched an unprovoked and savage attack on him. The dog tore into the child’s neck and face as he sat defenseless.

Shockingly, Williams stood by and did nothing to stop the animal. In court, it was described as though she had used her son as a “chew toy.”

Immediate Aftermath and Arrests

After the dog mauled the boy, a man later identified as Robert Michalski — the dog’s owner — allegedly fled the scene with the animal to avoid it being seized. Emergency responders rushed the child to the hospital where he was treated for life-threatening injuries. Thankfully, the child survived and is now in the care of a legal guardian, along with his sister.

Williams and her partner, Taylor Marvin-Brown, and Michalski were arrested shortly after the incident. All three faced multiple charges for their roles in the attack and subsequent attempts to evade law enforcement.

Disturbing Pattern of Behavior

Courtroom revelations painted an even darker picture of Williams’ behavior. In addition to this brutal incident, she had previously posted images online of her children restrained with handcuffs and boasted about tying up her daughter. Text messages and social media evidence showed a disturbing lack of concern for the well-being of her children and a willingness to normalize abusive behavior.

The judge overseeing the case, David Stimpert, did not hold back. He condemned her actions, stating that watching a dog try to rip out a child’s throat without intervening was beyond comprehension.

Co-Defendants Still Facing Sentencing Over Pit Bull Attack

Both Michalski and Marvin-Brown have also been convicted for their involvement. Michalski, who fled with the dog, will be sentenced later this month and faces up to nine years in prison. Marvin-Brown is expected to receive his sentence in mid-July. Authorities say all three individuals played a role in creating an environment of neglect and danger that ultimately led to the boy’s horrific injuries.
