Selena Gomez Says Her Next Release Will Be Her Last Album

“The heart wants what it wants”, and it seems Selena Gomez wants to say goodbye to her musical career. The iconic celebrity, who is widely known for being an actress, singer, and even entrepreneur is ready to close the curtains on her musical career. During a podcast, she announced that she might release a last album to focus on another aspect of her career.

Her Next Release Will Be Selena Gomez’s Last Album

Selena Gomez expressed on the “Smartless” podcast that she believes she has one more album left in her, but as she ages, she leans towards settling into a career as an actor, which is her primary focus. Gomez initially aspired to be a serious actress, and her foray into music occurred when Disney approached her to create an album while she starred in the Disney Channel sitcom “Wizards of Waverly Place” in the late 2000s. Despite initially seeing music as a hobby, it evolved into a full-time career.

She told Smartless: “I do feel like I have one more album in me. The older I get the more I’m kind of like, I would like to find something to just settle on.”

Since 2013, Selena Gomez has released three studio albums, featuring hits like “Come & Get It,” “Same Old Love,” and “Lose You to Love Me.” She received two Grammy nominations in 2022, one of which was for Best Latin Pop Album for her Spanish-language EP “Revelación.”

Gomez, initially known as a teen icon from “Wizards of Waverly Place,” is currently starring in the acclaimed Hulu series “Only Murders in the Building” alongside Martin Short and Steve Martin. But Why Not Both?

Selena Gomez, discussing on a podcast, hinted at a potential choice between music and acting in the future. She attributed this consideration partly to her mental health struggles, a subject she openly addressed in her 2022 docuseries, “Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me.” While acknowledging that there is no external pressure to choose between the two, Gomez expressed a desire to take a break in the future for relaxation, citing fatigue as a factor.

Selena Gomez, known for her involvement in music and acting, established Rare Beauty in 2020, describing it as a significant accomplishment. Despite launching during the COVID-19 pandemic, the cosmetics company experienced considerable success, a fact that Gomez expressed gratitude for on a podcast, labeling it “the biggest gift.” She emphasized her pride in the venture’s achievements.
