Megan Thee Stallion Hot Girl Summer Tour Announcement
Megan Thee Stallion confirmed on Good Morning America that she will be going on a Hot Girl Summer Tour in 2024. The tour will be aligned with the release of her upcoming album. While specific tour dates are yet to be announced, the rapper expressed excitement about delivering the “Megan Thee Stallion experience” to her fans during the summer.
The Good Morning America segment featuring Megan Thee Stallion was pre-recorded. It was recorded approximately a week ago, as indicated by the rapper’s recent Instagram post during her visit to New York City. In the meantime, she has released the single “Hiss.” It is a sharp track from her upcoming album, succeeding her previous release, “Cobra.”
Where Does “Hot Girl Summer” Come From?
Megan Thee Stallion’s 2019 collaboration with Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign is titled “Hot Girl Summer.” Recently, Minaj responded to Megan’s latest single “Hiss” with her own track, “Big Foot.” She addressed perceived references to herself and her family in Megan’s lyrics. Minaj has extensively commented on the matter on social media, but as of now, Megan Thee Stallion has not responded or engaged in the conversation.
She shared with Good Morning America that in recent years, she found music to be negative and struggled mentally after various challenges. She expressed a desire to step back from the negativity and initially felt worn out from the fight. However, she decided not to give up, recognizing her deep passion for music, which her mother knew was her true aspiration. Megan sees music as a therapeutic outlet, describing it as a form of diary entry and a way to channel her emotions. Her single “Cobra” is the first release from her upcoming album.
She Had Even More to Say
During the interview, Meg mentioned: “For the past couple years music just seemed so negative to me. I just wasn’t in a good space mentally after everything that had happened to me and it just all felt like, I’m tired of this. I’m tired of fighting. But I had to tell myself, you know what, I don’t want to give up. I love a lot of things, but music is the one thing that I know I’ve always really super tried at — the one thing that my mama knew that I really wanted to do. So I was like, I can’t give up this fight. I just had to put it into music. And I feel like it was like therapy. It was like a real diary entry.”
