The FBI’s Jeffrey Epstein Prison Video Had Nearly 3 Minutes Cut Out

Forensic analysts have confirmed that nearly three minutes are missing from the prison surveillance footage recorded near Jeffrey Epstein’s cell the night he died. Experts also found the footage was stitched together using at least two different clips.
DOJ and FBI Claimed Full Footage Shows No Tampering
The Department of Justice and FBI recently released the footage and reaffirmed that Epstein died by suicide in 2019. They said the video shows no one entered the housing unit where Epstein was held from 10:40 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. the next morning.
Independent analysts found one of the source videos was nearly three minutes longer than what was made public. Metadata also showed that the final video had been saved and re-exported multiple times on May 23, 2025, more than five years after Epstein’s death.
A known one-minute gap in the video, from 11:58:58 p.m. to 12:00:00 a.m., was previously blamed on an automatic system reset. But the newly discovered time difference suggests more footage may be unaccounted for.
Political Fallout and Public Skepticism

The revelations add fuel to ongoing speculation, especially after the DOJ also stated that no “incriminating client list” related to Epstein exists. This sparked backlash among conspiracy theorists and supporters of former President Donald Trump.
Trump lashed out on Truth Social, calling the renewed focus the “Jeffrey Epstein Hoax.” He criticized former supporters who questioned him, saying, “I don’t want their support anymore.”
