Is AI our future best friend or a creepy sci-fi nightmare? Artificial intelligence is changing the world at breakneck speed, offering solutions to complex problems and even composing music.

Take, for instance, the website that uses this technology to find every single picture of you that exists. It has been referred to as “the most disturbing AI website on the internet.”

PimEyes: The Disturbing AI Website

PimEyes is a facial recognition site that leverages advanced AI to scour the internet for images of your face. The way it works is simple: you provide an image of yourself, and it searches every corner of the web to find every instance of your likeness. Some people think it’s pretty cool.

After all, by finding the places your photo has been used, you can see where your information has been spread and stay in control of your privacy, in theory. Is PimEyes Legitimate?

Some people pointed out on social media that PimEyes is great for finding sites that are using your image without your consent. If you see a place hosting a photo of you that you didn’t allow it to use, you can send them a takedown notice so that they have to remove it. That’s a good thing, right?

A Closer Look at the World’s Most Disturbing AI Website

If you wanted to get rid of those teenage photos from the internet for good, then PimEyes could be for you—but be warned. A new website dubbed a “super creepy stalker’s dream” claims it can find every photo of any person that has ever existed online.

The facial recognition site can apparently help you track down all your images that have ever been posted. But it’s good news if you want some of the less flattering snaps removed from cyberspace forever. PimEyes lets you find images containing your face and “permanently erase” them from websites.

Described as a way to help people find themselves on the internet and stay protected from “scammers, identity thieves, or people who use your image illegally,” the idea has had a mixed reaction. Inventors say it can protect from “scammers, identity thieves, or people who use your image illegally.”

The Cost of PimEyes

But the tool doesn’t come cheap. Its PROtect subscription costs a whopping £77.31 per month while the “Advanced” version clocks in at £289.96. However, that will give you access to unlimited image searches as well as access to the websites hosting your photo. PimEyes argues that it “has never been and is not a tool to establish the identity of any individual.” Instead, it is designed to help people find images of themselves on “publicly accessible websites.”

Artificial intelligence is equally as fascinating as it is scary. Chat GPT, a super-popular chatbot, is exploding with growth. It hit a record for fastest-growing user base, reaching over 100 million active users in just a month! This AI can have natural conversations, and understand follow-up questions just like a real person. It can even admit its own mistakes or reject inappropriate requests.

Despite such technological advances, there will always be an argument for giving us more information than we actually need. Such as the image search site PimEyes, which uses AI to identify any other pictures of you that are online.

Concerns Over AI and Privacy

Well, one man who is seemingly concerned about the rapid rise of AI is Elon Musk. The face of Tesla and SpaceX happens to be part of a group of tech chiefs who want to pause the development of AI. They have called for researchers to focus on making sure the technology is accurate, safe, and transparent, though others feel that with AI tech such as ChatGPT, we’re already too far down the rabbit hole.

The internet has been around for decades, and in that time, it’s gathered information, including pictures—a whole lot of them. Throw in the new development of AI technology, and there’s, even more, to be found; some of it is quite scary. Imagine being able to find every single image of yourself… well, ever.

PimEyes: A Comprehensive Tool or a Stalker’s Dream?

So as said, PimEyes is the platform responsible for the results when you look for yourself, and it’s ‘the most disturbing website on the Internet.

In conclusion, PimEyes offers a powerful yet controversial tool for finding and managing your online images. Its capabilities raise important questions about privacy, security, and the ethical use of AI technology.
