The event showcased a series of high-profile announcements, exclusive previews, and surprise performances, solidifying Netflix’s position at the forefront of global entertainment.
Lady Gaga Joins “Wednesday” Season 2
A highlight of the evening was the announcement that pop icon Lady Gaga will guest-star in the second season of the hit series “Wednesday.” She will portray Rosaline Rotwood, a legendary teacher at Nevermore Academy.

Gaga made a dramatic entrance by emerging from a coffin on stage and performed two songs from her latest album, “Mayhem,” including “Zombieboy” and “Abracadabra.” The first half of “Wednesday” Season 2 is set to premiere on August 6, with the second half following on September 3.
“Stranger Things” Final Season Release Dates Revealed
Fans of “Stranger Things” were treated to the release schedule for the show’s fifth and final season. Additionally, the season will be released in three parts: Volume 1 on November 26, Volume 2 on December 25, and the series finale on December 31, 2025. A teaser trailer was also unveiled, providing a glimpse into the concluding chapter of the beloved series.
New Netflix Projects and Exclusive Previews
Netflix also announced several upcoming projects:
- “Happy Gilmore 2”: A sequel to the classic comedy, featuring Adam Sandler and Bad Bunny.
- “RIP”: An action film starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, set for release in January 2026.
- “Frankenstein”: A new adaptation directed by Guillermo del Toro, scheduled for November 2025.
