TV Stars Recreate Meghan Markle’s Dance, and the internet is loving every second of it. Reality TV couple Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo caused a stir at Buckingham Palace after filming a playful dance inspired by Meghan Markle’s viral “Baby Mama” moment.
In doing so, they broke strict palace filming rules, but earned a surprising, cheeky response from the royal family.
“They Said We Couldn’t Film…”

While attending a private charity event hosted by The King’s Trust, Laing and Habboo decided to recreate Meghan’s iconic dance moment inside Buckingham Palace. They chose the Grand Staircase as their stage and danced to Starrkeisha’s “Baby Momma Dance,” just like Meghan Markle had during her pregnancy.
Even though guests were clearly told that filming was not allowed inside the palace, the couple went ahead anyway. Laing captioned the video with a bold statement:
“They said we couldn’t film in Buckingham Palace.”
The surprise came when the official Royal Family Instagram account responded with a lighthearted:
“We see you 👀😉.”
Even The King’s Trust added their own comment, writing:
“All of our attendees are very well behaved 😉.”
The result? A viral moment that added a modern, rebellious twist to the palace’s traditional rules, and fans couldn’t get enough of it.
Meghan’s Original Viral Moment

Earlier this month, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry shared rare, never-before-seen footage of Meghan dancing to the same song while pregnant with Princess Lilibet. That lighthearted video quickly captured the internet’s attention, racking up over 50 million views.
Meghan explained the importance of joy and real life behind the scenes:
“You have to be authentic… That was four years ago. There’s still a whole life, a real, authentic, fun life, happening behind the scenes.”
So when TV Stars Recreate Meghan’s Dance in Buckingham Palace, it was more than a joke, it was a tribute to that authenticity and maybe a wink to Meghan’s original moment of joy.
A Royal Shift in Tone

What’s perhaps most surprising is the royal family’s reaction. Rather than enforcing protocol, they joined in the fun, showing a more relatable, relaxed side. This response signals a cultural shift, even among institutions known for their formality.
By blending royal tradition with viral internet culture, this moment shows that modern expression and playful rebellion have a place, even in Buckingham Palace.
