Doctors diagnosed Olivia with chromosome 6 deletion, a rare abnormality that disrupts a specific portion of chromosome 6. This condition, believed to make her the only person in the world with such symptoms, renders Olivia completely insensitive to pain, hunger, and fatigue.

The effects began manifesting in infancy, with delayed hair growth, severe colic, and unusual sleep patterns being some of the early signs.
