Cristiano Ronaldo is known for his impeccable style and attention to detail, both on and off the field. From his hairstyle to his clothing, everything about the Portuguese athlete screams perfection. But, have you ever noticed Cristiano Ronaldo’s black-painted toenails and wondered why he does it? Well then, you are definitely not the only one! The soccer superstar’s unique choice of nail color has sparked curiosity and speculation among fans and followers. But, why does Cristiano Ronaldo paint his toenails to begin with?

First Look at Cristiano Ronaldo’s Painted Toenails

Cristiano Ronaldo recently shared a photo of himself in a sauna, taking a break from his activities with Saudi side Al-Nassr. While his posts often showcase his downtime, this one caught the attention of some observant fans. In the picture, Ronaldo displayed his impressive physique, but what stood out were his black-painted toenails. Fans questioned this choice, with one asking if they had missed something. However, there’s a common practice among athletes, including MMA fighters, to paint their nails, and Ronaldo likely does it for the same reason.

The Reason Why Cristiano Ronaldo Paints His Toenails Black

Athletes, including Cristiano Ronaldo and even Mike Tyson, reportedly paint their nails or apply a protective layer to shield them from fungi and bacteria. This practice, as per a source cited by German outlet Bild, is common among top athletes to safeguard their nails when wearing sweaty shoes for extended periods.

This isn’t the first instance of Cristiano Ronaldo having black-painted toenails. In January, MMA fighter Francis Ngannou shared a photo of embracing Ronaldo, revealing the Portuguese star’s painted nails.

Fighters like former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski have also been known to paint their nails before stepping into action. This attention to detail reflects Ronaldo’s continuous effort to distinguish himself as one of the greatest athletes of all time.

Where Is He Now?

Despite his impressive track record, including five Ballon d’Or trophies, Cristiano Ronaldo, now 38, has faced challenges since joining Saudi club Al-Nassr after leaving Manchester United. Although he has scored 11 goals in 12 games, his recent match against Al Feiha saw him unable to score.

Following the match, Cristiano Ronaldo had a heated outburst, confronting opposition players and expressing frustration that they “don’t want to play.” The incident led to him storming off the pitch and heading straight down the tunnel at full-time. Reports from Spanish outlet Marca suggest Ronaldo believes former Al-Nassr boss Rudy Garcia could extract more from his teammates.

Al-Nassr announced on Thursday that Rudy Garcia had left the club “by mutual agreement,” with their Under 19 coach Dinko Jelicic stepping in as the new head coach. Currently in second place in the table, Al-Nassr will face Al Hilal in their upcoming league match on Tuesday.
