Who knew Adobe would become a fashion icon? During Adobe MAX 2023, Adobe introduced new AI features, such as the advanced Magic Editor named Project Stardust and an experimental dress with changeable designs. This dress is not just a simple PSD file! It is indeed a dress that you can wear out in public. Could this digitally animated dress by Adobe mark a new iconic fashion moment, or is it simply an unrealistic set of expectations for future fashion? Let’s find out together!

What Is Adobe?

Adobe is a multinational software company known for its extensive range of creative and multimedia software products and services. Adobe’s software applications are widely used by professionals and enthusiasts in fields such as graphic design, photography, video editing, web development, and document management. The Digitally Animated Dress by Adobe

Adobe introduced 11 experimental tools, including a cutting-edge dress, during a three-day event. These tools, known as “Sneaks,” are still in development and may not all become publicly available, but they offer a glimpse into the future of technology. Some of these Sneaks left a strong impression. But the main focus today is Project Primrose.

At MAX 2023, Adobe revealed an interactive dress that stole the show, earning the biggest cheer and applause. This innovative garment showcases flexible textile displays, enabling wearers to exhibit patterns and images on their bodies. The presenter’s live demonstration of the dress’s capabilities left attendees in awe. The digitally animated dress by Adobe uses sensors to detect pattern changes, which can be triggered by buttons or the wearer’s movements. It’s a striking example of wearable technology.

Other Projects Shown at MAX 2023

Here are the other projects Adobe presented:

Project Stardust

At Adobe Max 2023, the highly anticipated Project Stardust was officially unveiled, creating quite a buzz among industry experts. In addition, this tool, an advanced version of Magic Editor, goes beyond traditional editing. It can identify individual objects in an image, enabling users to reposition them, fill in the background seamlessly, and even generate entirely new elements within the image without disrupting the overall composition. It’s a remarkable innovation for image editing and manipulation.

Project See Through

Adobe designed “Project See Through” to eliminate mirror reflections in photographs. Beyond this, it also enhances and restores parts of the image that may not have been captured clearly. Moreover, it preserves the reflection as a separate image, allowing users to create entirely new compositions using both the cleaned image and the reflection. Furthermore, this tool is particularly useful for improving photos marred by unwanted glass or mirror reflections.

Project Dub Dub Dub

Adobe’s “Project dub dub dub” is a groundbreaking tool for dubbing videos in multiple languages effortlessly. It has the potential to automate the dubbing process, making it accessible in a variety of languages. Moreover, the tool was demonstrated by dubbing an English video into several languages during the presentation, suggesting it might support a substantial number of languages if it becomes available. This innovation has the potential to significantly impact the world of dubbing and localization in the film and video industry.

Project Res Up

“Project Res up” is a groundbreaking tool by Adobe that leverages AI to enhance the quality of old or low-resolution video files and GIFs. Additionally, during a demonstration, Adobe used a low-resolution 1947 movie clip and increased its pixel count by almost 675%, resulting in a high-resolution version with greater detail, sharp images, and even the addition of new elements like individual hair strands. This tool shows great promise for improving the quality of older or lower-quality media content.
