The GTA 6 Trailer Is Out and It’s Better Than You Expected!

And while that actually sounds all nice and dandy, the GTA 6 trailer was leaked hours before Rockstar Games could upload it themselves. However, the trailer is officially out now, and this is what you can expect from the new game.

GTA 6 Release Date

GTA 6 (VI) is set to release in 2025. While fans were excited to see news about the new game, they were expecting it to be released sooner. This comes as the latest GTA game was released over 10 years ago in 2023.

Take-Two Interactive, the publisher, officially announced that Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) is set to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. However, there is no confirmation regarding a PC version at this time.

Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) marks the first game in the franchise released without the involvement of Dan Houser. He was the co-founder of Rockstar and a key figure in writing and producing scripts for Rockstar games. This includes every GTA game since 1999. Dan Houser, who left Rockstar in March 2020, played a significant role in shaping the narratives of the games.

GTA 6 Trailer Leak!

The trailer for “Grand Theft Auto VI,” the upcoming installment in the popular and violent game franchise, was released online ahead of schedule after it leaked. The leaked trailer indicates that the sixth chapter is set to be released in 2025, as confirmed by developer Rockstar Games. Despite the unplanned release, the trailer quickly garnered over 32 million views on YouTube within its first few hours. Rockstar Games addressed the leak on social media, urging viewers to watch the official trailer on YouTube. The original release was scheduled for Tuesday, December 5, at 9 am PST.

Not the First Leak for Rockstar Games

Rockstar Games, a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive, faced challenges with leaks, notably in 2022 when hackers disclosed unreleased footage of the upcoming GTA iteration. The leaked screenshots and gameplay videos, confirmed by the company as authentic, resulted from a “network intrusion.”

Rockstar Games acknowledged the unauthorized access to confidential information, including early development footage for the next Grand Theft Auto, in a statement posted on Twitter. CNN’s Catherine Thorbecke contributed to the report.

The highly anticipated “Grand Theft Auto VI” (GTA 6) has been long-awaited, especially since the release of GTA 5 in 2013. The recently leaked trailer reveals a female protagonist named Lucia engaging in a crime spree across crowded beaches, city highways, and clubs alongside her partner, reminiscent of a Bonnie-and-Clyde scenario.
