In the music scene lately, there’s been some serious buzz about giving undeserving awards and whatnot. It’s like everyone’s holding their breath, dying to say what they think about Taylor Swift winning at the Grammys. And of course, Kanye West is gonna name-drop Taylor Swift. He is not the one to hold anything back. He is gonna say what he thinks in one way or another. So, what’s the deal? Get ready, because we’re about to dive into the drama of more of a decade.

Kanye West Name-Drops Taylor Swift

Kanye West’s latest album drop, “Vultures 1,” has really set tongues wagging, especially with one particular track where he brings up Taylor Swift again. In “Carnival,” he spits out the line, “I made six Taylor Swift,” reigniting that whole messy history between them. The whole lyrics on that vers go like this:

She gon’ take it up the ass , like a ventriloquist
I made six Taylor Swifts, since I had the Rollie on the wrist
I’m the new Jesus, bitch , I turn water to crist
This for what they did to Chris , they can’t do shit with this
Got my kids in a fake school , we ain’t

This isn’t the first time Kanye’s mentioned Taylor in his music. Ever since that wild moment at the 2009 MTV VMAs, their relationship’s been like a rollercoaster ride of drama, diss tracks, and public spats.

But this time, with “Carnival,” it feels like Kanye’s poking the bear again. Swift’s fanbase is not having it. They’re calling him out for using her name to stay relevant, and the criticism’s been harsh. On social media, you can see fans airing their disappointment, calling Kanye “desperate” and questioning why he’s still fixated on Swift.

Even though “Vultures 1” was hotly anticipated, this Taylor Swift reference seems to be overshadowing everything else. It’s like throwing gas on an already raging fire. The Kanye West vs. Taylor Swift feud just won’t die down, and it’s playing out big time online.

Taylor Swift and Kanye West’s Drama Timeline

Here’s a short version of the timeline of Taylor Swift and Kanye West’s drama:

2009: MTV Video Music Awards Drama

2015: Grammy Awards Reconciliation?

There was a glimmer of hope for reconciliation when Taylor and Kanye were seen chatting and posing for photos together at the Grammy Awards. People were wondering if maybe they were patching things up.

2016: “Famous” Controversy

Then Kanye dropped “Famous,” with that infamous line about Taylor: “I made that b**** famous.” Taylor wasn’t having it and called Kanye out, saying she never approved of those lyrics. But then Kim Kardashian released a snippet of a phone call where Taylor seemed to give the okay. Drama, drama, drama!

2017: Taylor Strikes Back

Taylor didn’t take Kanye’s diss lightly. She dropped her album “Reputation,” which had some pretty pointed tracks rumored to be about their feud. It was like she was saying, “You mess with me, I’ll hit back with music.”

2020: The Full Phone Call

Just when we thought things had cooled down, the full phone call between Taylor and Kanye leaked online. It showed Taylor expressing discomfort with the lyrics, but not fully approving them. The drama was back on the front page.

Looks like we’ll have to keep an eye out for more updates as this saga unfolds.
