“Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Hiss’ marks her second release since parting ways with 1501 Certified Entertainment last fall. Following a confidential settlement in October, ending a lengthy legal dispute over music release restrictions, Megan is now unapologetically calling out names in her latest track, reflecting her frustration and defiance.”

Is Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hiss” a Diss Track?

In her latest track, “Hiss,” Megan Thee Stallion doesn’t hold back. She is taking shots at her ex-boyfriend Pardi, Drake, and Nicki Minaj. This also includes anyone who had criticized her before, during, and after Tory Lanez’s trial for shooting her. The lyrics spare no one. However, although specific names were not mentioned, Megan emphasizes that those who feel targeted will react. She mentioned this in an interview with “The Breakfast Club.”

Her latest track, just over three minutes long, serves as a response to those who have criticized her in recent months. In the song, she showcases her rap skills and fierce attitude. She is delivering sharp and tightly coiled verses directed at unnamed adversaries. Additionally, a brief look at recent events surrounding Megan provides context for the animosity expressed in the song.

Nicki Minaj Is a “Victim” of Megan’s “Hiss”

Following the release of her diss track, it appears that Nicki Minaj took it personally. She spent the entire night responding to Megan. Megan’s lyrics include a reference to “Megan’s law,” a legal requirement for convicted sex offenders to register with local law enforcement. Moreover, this is seen as a pointed reference to Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, who was convicted of attempted rape in 1995 and faced legal issues in 2022 for failing to register as a sex offender when he moved to California with Minaj in 2019.
