But, that future is not as far as we hoped it would be. A company has introduced MIKA. She is a humanoid robot CEO who is said to be able to work for longer hours with no issue.

MIKA is a highly advanced humanoid robot developed through a partnership between Hanson Robotics and Dictador. The first company is prominent in humanoid robotics known for creating Sophia. Dictador is a well-established producer of rum and spirits with a history dating back to 1751. The collaboration brings together expertise in robotics and spirits production, showing the fusion of technology and tradition.

The robot is specifically designed to reflect the values and vision of Dictador. It is inspired by Severo Arango y Ferro, a Spanish merchant known as “Dictador” in Colombia. He founded a rum business. MIKA stands for “Machine Intelligence Knowledge Algorithm”. Moreover, her appearance is modeled after the portrait of Arango’s daughter, Maria. The robot serves as a representation of the company’s commitment to combining machine intelligence with the historical legacy and identity of its founder.

MIKA, the humanoid robot, was made the CEO of Dictador on October 25, 2023, marking the world’s first instance of an AI human-like robot leading a global company. Selected by the board of directors to experiment with a new form of leadership, MIKA signed a contract with Dictador on August 30, 2022, officially commencing her role on September 1, 2022. The decision was driven by the belief that MIKA could provide a fresh perspective, bring a competitive edge, and generate increased attention and publicity for the company.
