Tiamat Legion Medusa, a former banker from Texas, has undergone a dramatic transformation over the past decade, covering their body in tattoos and piercings to become the world’s “first genderless dragon.”

Tiamat Legion Medusa’s transformation includes 18 horn implants, the removal of both ears and the splitting of the tongue to create a forked appearance.

In an interview with YouTuber Anthony Padilla, Tiamat Legion Medusa, formerly known as Richard Hernandez and now using they/them pronouns, revealed that they had been working as a successful financier before rejecting corporate conformity.

Medusa, also known as Dragon Lady Medusa online, had already amassed 79 piercings in their late 40s, with most of them hidden. They were able to remove the visible piercings daily, maintaining a conventional appearance while secretly embracing their true identity.

What Was the Goal of the Transformation?

Tiamat challenges stereotypes about modified individuals, emphasizing that they are just as intelligent and capable as anyone else. Despite their extreme modifications, such as ear removal, they assert that their intellect and character remain unchanged.

They have previously noted: “People think that modified people, especially those who go to great extremes to look like something in a sci-fi film, are losers and dumb as dirt. In my past life as a man, I was a banking vice president at one of the nation’s largest financial institutions.

I want people to know that modified people are just as intelligent, kind, loving, and good as anyone else. Just because I had my ears removed, doesn’t mean my brain just rolled out and I’m just a blithering idiot.”

What Is Next for the Dragon Lady?

Next year, Tiamat plans to continue their transformation by tattooing rainbow scales all over their skin, adding to their existing horn implants, and tattooing purple ink on their eyeballs. However, the top priority is the removal of their penis.

Despite facing negative attention and hostility, Tiamat remains committed to being true to themselves, especially to inspire children who look at them with wonder and fascination.
