TikTok user @Alisssaloveee posted a video of the confrontation with a white male who followed her home in Cleveland. The video has garnered 9.5 million views, 1 million likes, and over 18,000 shares. In the video, she questions why he followed her home, expressing bewilderment.

Alissa filmed from her car, questioning the man’s actions and condemning his use of racist language during their meal. The man responded aggressively, but the specific racial slur he used remains unclear.

The man denied being racist, claiming to have Black friends, but when Alissa didn’t respond favorably, he shifted the blame onto her for the date’s failure. He accused her of leaving him at the bar despite his efforts, growing hostile and raising his voice about respect.

He angrily yelled at Alissa, accusing her of disrespect after spending $300 on her. Alissa responded by rolling up her window and driving off quickly, leaving his degrading shouts behind.

What Happened After the Encounter?

Two days later, Alissa updated her TikTok followers, stating that she needed time to process the recent events and be cautious in her responses. She mentioned receiving both love and hate comments.

Additionally, she revealed that the man reached out to her on Snapchat as if nothing happened, but when she tried to report him on Hinge, he had already unmatched her.

Hinge has not issued a statement regarding the incident. Viewers of the viral TikTok have suggested ways to prevent such events, with one commenter suggesting a feedback option for the app.

Despite the frightening experience, Alissa expressed gratitude for the support she received from strangers. The Daily Dot contacted Hinge for comment.
