Who doesn’t love some good ol’ Christmas fever? The cozy warmth of the fireplace, and the yummy delight of hot chocolate. The atmosphere is nice and the city is filled with beautiful and colorful lights. But, the best part of it all? Watching those old Christmas movies you grew up with! While they are still valuable to you and how they make you feel, what if there was a way for them to be even more valuable? Well, this company will pay you $2,500 to watch Christmas movies if you are a lucky winner.

How the Company Will Pay You $2,500 to Watch Movies

CableTV is offering a payment of $2500 (£2000) to a Christmas enthusiast who is willing to watch festive films throughout the upcoming holiday season. Here is the catch though. You will need to watch 25 movies, which would translate to roughly a movie a day until Christmas!

The company is willing to cover the costs of seven popular streaming services, including Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Hulu, Max, Apple TV+, and Hallmark Movies Now, to ensure the chosen Christmas enthusiast has access to a wide variety of seasonal films. Additionally, the official title for this job will be referred to as “Chief of Cheer.” Talk about a dream job, am I right?

What Are the Requirements to Get Paid to Watch Christmas Movies?

In addition to watching festive films, the Chief of Cheer is tasked with rating them based on factors like nostalgia, heartwarming storytelling, and overall festive ambiance. Moreover, the job also involves evaluating the user-friendliness and Christmas film selection of various streaming services. The only prerequisites for the position are being a US resident and over 18 years old.

Cable TV mentioned: “The only requirement is that you have a deep love for holiday movies, a song in your heart, and the willpower to marathon 25 movies in 25 days.”

How to Apply?

Cable TV is not accepting applications through their website anymore. The chosen candidate for the job will be contacted on December 5. However, if you are interested in the position, you need to head over to the Cable TV website.

The job description on the website says: “At CableTV.com, one of our favorite holiday traditions is breaking out the bin of old VHS tapes (or, more realistically, the “holiday” sections of our favorite streaming services) and watching some classic seasonal movies. If you feel the same, we have good news for you: you could get paid $2,500 just for keeping up this festive tradition.

Every year, we appoint one “Chief of Cheer” into our Dream Job position, and task them with the very important responsibility of watching 25 movies in 25 days. Are you up to the task? Read on to find out more.”

So, don’t be upset if you missed out this year. This will happen every year during Christmas, so make sure to put up a reminder!
