Jada-Symone Batichon, 18, just graduated from Wheeler High School in Powder Springs, Georgia, with a flawless 4.0 GPA and a track record of impressive extracurriculars. Not only did she hold leadership roles in student government and the National Honor Society, but she was also a cheerleader and founded EmpowHer, a club designed to help other girls build confidence, develop life skills, and navigate high school with purpose.

Her vision? To create a community where young women uplift each other through workshops, mentorship, and honest conversations about everything from academics to friendships.

Accelerated Academics and College Hustle

Jada-Symone wasn’t just busy in high school—she got a head start by completing six high school courses in middle school, and later dual-enrolled at Kennesaw State University and Chattahoochee Technical College. By the time she walked the stage at Wheeler High, she had already earned her nursing assistant certification.

Her strategic approach to college applications was heavily influenced by her mother, Dr. Claudia Batichon, an educator and founder of THINK Protégé, an academic coaching service. Together, they made a plan: apply to schools with generous scholarship options and avoid student loan debt altogether.

The Results: 53 Acceptances, $1.8 Million, and One Big Decision for the Georgia Teen

Out of the 58 colleges she applied to, 53 said yes. Her acceptances came with scholarship offers totaling about $1.8 million. And while her options were wide open, Jada-Symone ultimately chose the University of Alabama, where she plans to major in business management and finish both her undergrad and master’s degree in just four years.

“I’m excited to grow, challenge myself, and gain independence,” she told People. “But I’ll definitely miss my family.”
