Following the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk on September 10, 2025, a crowdfunding campaign for his family has seen a massive public response.
Within less than two days of its launch, the fundraiser has raised over $4 million of its $5 million goal.
What We Know so Far
The page was organised by ALP Pouches, a nicotine pouch company, on the Christian crowdfunding platform GiveSendGo. A donation of $1 million came directly from ALP itself as part of the effort.
Kirk, known for his prominent role in conservative youth activism and his radio/podcast/media presence, was shot while speaking at Utah Valley University. He is survived by his wife, Erika, and their two young children—a daughter aged three and a son aged one. The fundraiser was intended to secure financial stability for them in the wake of this tragedy.
Charlie Kirk’s Family’s Response & Public Tribute
Erika Kirk: in a statement, the widow of Charlie Kirk, expressed how stunned and broken the family is, but also how determined she is to carry forward his legacy. She said that Charlie “preached a message of patriotism, faith and God’s merciful love,” and that despite the loss, she intends to continue his work—his tour, radio show, and podcast. She emphasized that the movement he built “will not die,” and promised, “No one will ever forget my husband’s name, and I will make sure of it.”
She also shared the difficulty of explaining her husband’s death to their daughter and how deeply impactful it is for the children. Family, friends, and supporters rallied with messages of love, grief, and calls to preserve Kirk’s public voice and mission.
Support & Surge from Followers
The fundraiser was created by ALP Pouches; its description praised Charlie Kirk’s devotion to faith and country, welcoming contributions “in honour of his legacy.” The campaign message underlined the need to support Erika and their children in this time of loss, aiming also to secure stability and care for them moving forward.
The response was immediate and large: millions poured in, with many individuals donating small amounts, others giving more substantial sums. The speed and volume of the donations reflect how many people were moved and how wide Kirk’s influence was among conservative circles.

There has also been a secondary surge in activity around Turning Point USA—in particular, many new requests to form local chapters have been submitted. Supporters see the fundraising not just as financial assistance but as a signal of solidarity and continuation of Kirk’s work.
Why It Matters
The substantial fundraising reflects more than just financial help—it speaks to the role Kirk played in inspiring a movement, especially among younger conservatives. Crowdfunding in this case serves multiple purposes: supporting the immediate needs of a grieving family; signaling to the public that Kirk’s voice and mission will be carried on; and reinforcing community ties in the conservative base.
It also raises questions about how public figures are cared for (or left vulnerable), the burden on their families, and how grassroots financial support becomes a way for ordinary people to participate in political and cultural mourning.
