A heartbreaking tragedy has unfolded in Washington State, where three young sisters—Paityn Decker, 9; Evelyn Decker, 8; and Olivia Decker, 5—were found dead after a scheduled visitation with their father, Travis Decker.

The girls had been reported missing on May 30, 2025, and their bodies were discovered on June 2 near Rock Island Campground in Chelan County. Preliminary reports indicate that the sisters died by asphyxiation.

Investigators found Decker’s abandoned vehicle near the campsite, containing personal items and signs of recent activity, including bloody handprints.

A Community in Mourning

The girls’ mother, Whitney Decker, is said to be devastated by the loss. A GoFundMe campaign launched to support her has raised over $347,000, with thousands of people across the country expressing grief and solidarity.

Local schools and churches have organized vigils, and social media has been flooded with tributes to the three young sisters, remembered for their joyful spirits, close bond, and bright futures.

“This kind of evil is unimaginable,” one family friend wrote on Facebook. “All we can do now is support Whitney and keep pushing for justice.”

What Comes Next

As the manhunt intensifies, many are raising questions about how this tragedy could have been prevented. Family advocates are calling for a deeper look into how custody cases are handled in the legal system, especially when red flags like custodial interference and previous threats are involved.

A memorial service for the girls is currently being planned. Meanwhile, the FBI urges anyone with information about Travis Decker’s whereabouts to contact authorities immediately.
